Discover the Memory Contamination Exhibition
Exciting News: The innovative company, Yami Corporation, is thrilled to announce its upcoming exhibition, the
Memory Contamination Exhibition, set to launch on August 2, 2026. Following a successful series of immersive exhibitions like
Missing Exhibit and
Fear Exhibition, which have collectively attracted around 400,000 visitors, this new venture promises to delve even deeper into the complexities of memory and perception.
Collaboration with Talent: The exhibition is a collaboration with TwoGate, a company well-known for its works like
The Seers Exhibition and
Paintings You Shouldn't See Exhibition. The script is written by the talented Yu Shinada, renowned for
Da Vinci and Mount Osore, and features key visual designs by art director Tetsuya Nagato. A stellar lineup of top-notch creators from various fields has come together to offer an experience that shatters the boundaries of memory.
What is the Memory Contamination Exhibition?
The
Memory Contamination Exhibition centers on the concept of tainting your memories. Have you ever wondered if a panda’s tail was really black? Or if Beethoven was holding a quill pen in that famous portrait? In Botticelli's
The Birth of Venus, was the goddess truly riding on a bivalve?
If you find yourself second-guessing these memories, you're encountering what is known as the
Mandela Effect—a phenomenon where countless people remember details that never existed. Similarly, artificial intelligence can create “hallucinations,” presenting fictitious facts as if they were true. This exhibition invites you to explore the dissolving distinctions between human and AI memories.
Your perception of reality is governed solely by your memories. When those memories become contaminated, what happens to your understanding of the world? This exhibition promises to deeply shake your sense of self and the reality you believe in.
