The Brattle Group Welcomes Mihael Raveggi as Director in Rome

The Brattle Group is excited to announce the appointment of Mihael Raveggi as Director for its European Antitrust and Competition practice, based in Rome. With more than two decades of experience in economic consulting, Raveggi has established a reputation for his valuable insights into high-profile mergers, cartels, and anti-competitive agreements across various sectors and countries.

Raveggi's strong background in competition policy economics has allowed him to provide in-depth economic analysis related to competition investigations, regulatory proceedings, and litigation across Europe. He has led assessments in more than two dozen Phase I and II merger inquiries before European institutions, including the European Commission, the UK's Competition and Markets Authority (CMA), China's State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR), and numerous major national competition authorities both within Europe and globally.

Among the significant mergers he has prepared proposals for in recent years are notable combinations such as Omnicom/IPG, Disney/Reliance, and Booking/eTraveli. His arrival significantly enhances Brattle's ability to help clients navigate complex multi-jurisdictional merger processes and other competition-related matters throughout Europe. Torben Voetmann, President of Brattle, remarked, "Mihael’s arrival strengthens our capabilities to assist clients facing intricate merger procedures across multiple jurisdictions and competition issues in Europe. His proven track record with the European Commission and national competition authorities, coupled with his solid technical skills and extensive experience in leading large teams, makes him an invaluable addition to our antitrust and competition team."

Raveggi's extensive experience spans multiple sectors, including raw materials, technology, advertising, media, airlines, banking, pharmaceuticals, and medical devices. In addition to handling merger cases, he has advised clients regarding abuse of dominant position issues and other antitrust-related matters while providing damage estimates in litigation contexts. "I was drawn to Brattle's renowned reputation for academic rigor and collaborative culture that emphasizes high-quality economic analysis," Raveggi commented. "I look forward to joining such a strong network of experts and working with clients both in Italy and abroad."

Before joining The Brattle Group, Raveggi dedicated over 20 years at an economic consulting firm in Brussels. Additionally, he has taught competition policy at Sciences Po-Dijon for a decade. To learn more about Mihael Raveggi, you can read his full biography at The Brattle Group’s website.
