Vitalnet Baseball Team Embraces Digital Transformation with Atleta
The CLIMB Factory, based in Shibuya, Tokyo, has recently unveiled the adoption of its player management and communication platform, Atleta, by the Vitalnet Baseball Team. This initiative aims to promote better condition management and streamline communication within the team.
Founded in 1976 as the Nichie Baseball Team in Niigata, the Vitalnet Baseball Team has established a rich history, participating in the urban baseball championship four times and the Japan Championship nine times. The team prides itself on producing professional baseball players over the years.
As a corporate team, the players balance their work commitments with their dedication to baseball, practicing after completing their daily jobs. Given the limited training hours, effectively tracking and utilizing physical and condition data has become crucial for maximizing their performance.
Previously, the management of daily condition indicators such as weight, sleep, fatigue, and body temperature was done on paper, resulting in difficulties with data aggregation and sharing. Coaches found it challenging to gain an overview of players' situations and the content of coaching sessions provided by external coaches was managed individually without proper sharing among the team, which limited effectiveness.
To address these challenges, the Vitalnet Baseball Team has integrated Atleta to centralize condition and physical data, coaching content, and goal management. This will facilitate performance maximization within their limited training time.
Purpose of Atleta Implementation
The Vitalnet Baseball Team aims to elevate their operations and enhance performance through the following applications of Atleta:
- - Centralized Condition Data Management: By recording data such as weight, fatigue, sleep duration, body temperature, and diet, staff can gain a holistic view of each player's condition.
- - Accumulation and Visualization of Physical Data: Data from InBody measurements, sprints (10m and 20m), and weight training will be collected and visualized to track performance changes.
- - Reflection on Coaching Content: Teaching moments from external coaches will be documented, fostering player feedback and continuous improvement.
- - Efficient Team Communication: All communication will be centralized in the app to enhance information sharing and visibility.
- - Goal Management and Evaluation: Progress related to goals will be visualized, linking daily efforts and evaluations.
The introduction of Atleta is expected to visibly enhance the state of players and their activities, accelerating the feedback loop for coaching and improvement, allowing for higher performance even within time constraints.
