Celebrating Excellence: Sarah Norman Named Realtor of the Year 2025 in Texas
In a remarkable acknowledgment of her exceptional contributions to the real estate industry, Sarah Norman has been honored as the Realtor of the Year for 2025 by Texas Realtors during their annual winter meeting. This accolade is not just a testament to Norman's dedication to her profession but also highlights her enduring impact on the Bryan-College Station community and the broader real estate sector.
A Lifelong Commitment to Real Estate
Sarah Norman began her real estate journey back in 1977, and since then, she has made significant strides that have positively influenced both her organization and the industry. With a career that spans over four decades, her leadership and passion for real estate have been evident at every step of her journey. As Jennifer Wauhob, the President of Texas Realtors for 2026 noted, Norman embodies the qualities of integrity and dedication that this award seeks to honor. “Sarah symbolizes all these values daily,” she said. “Her leadership and commitment to doing what is right have strengthened agents throughout Texas.”
After an initial career at Texas A&M University, Sarah shifted her focus to real estate, driven by the potential to effect tangible outcomes through her efforts. Starting under the mentorship of Bonnie Hoggard, she spent five formative years learning the ropes before launching her own office, marking the beginning of a long and illustrious career.
Extensive Involvement in Real Estate Organizations
Over the years, Norman's extensive contributions have included serving on various local, state, and national committees, particularly those related to professional standards and public policies advocated by the National Association of Realtors. Her experience also encompasses acting as a federal political coordinator and being an active board member of Texas Realtors. Notably, her achievements earned her entry into the Hall of Fame of the Real Estate Political Action Committee (RPAC) in 2023.
Norman's accolades do not end with the coveted Realtor of the Year award; her previous titles include twice being named Agent of the Year for Bryan/College Station and receiving the Distinguished Service Award from Texas Realtors in 2007. For over 20 years, she has also been a regular attendee at state and national real estate conferences and has conducted countless training sessions across Texas, reinforcing professional standards and mediation processes.
Serving Beyond Real Estate
Norman's contributions go beyond real estate. She has volunteered with the Bryan/College Station Chamber of Commerce, participated in community redesign committees, and has been actively involved in education, offering Sunday school classes for the past 25 years at Kemp/Carver Elementary School. A lifelong resident of Bryan, she remains committed to ensuring the community's vitality for future generations, sharing her life with her husband George, three daughters, and six grandchildren.
In her words, “The real estate profession has shaped my life in ways I never thought possible. Serving others and leaving things better than I found them have always guided my work. I'm grateful for the relationships I've built and the opportunities to train others and give back to the profession that has given so much to me.”
