Liam Nachawati Eyes 2026 Karting Season with New Teams and Equipment
Accelerating into 2026: Liam Nachawati's Karting Journey
After a stellar 2025 season, where young talent Liam Nachawati made a name for himself, he is ready to take on new challenges in karting this year. Having clinched victories and podium finishes both on European and U.S. tracks, Nachawati is set for an exciting 2026 season with faster karts and new teams.
At just 11 years old, Nachawati is moving up in the racing world. He's set to compete in the OKJ category in Europe under the guidance of Ricky Flynn Motorsport, a team renowned for its successful track record of developing future stars. In the U.S., he has transitioned to the X30 Junior category and will join Rolison Performance Group, a team well-respected in the U.S. karting scene.
Nachawati expressed his enthusiasm about the upcoming season, stating, "I'm excited to be moving up to X30 Junior and OKJ. The karts are similar in size, but they're much more powerful and responsive. That puts an even greater emphasis on preparation, focus, and skill."
Reflecting on the previous season, his accomplishments are commendable. He marked a noteworthy win at the U.S. Pro Kart Series (USPKS) at New Castle Motor Sports Park in August 2025, where he started from pole position in the miniswift category. Additionally, he secured a third-place finish at the SuperKarts! USA (SKUSA) SummerNats held in July at the same venue.
As the 2026 season unfolds, Liam entered his first race in the X30 Junior class, which caters to drivers ages 12 to 15 during the SKUSA Winter Tour's first two rounds in January. Competing against highly skilled racers, he showcased his potential by qualifying fifth and concluding Round 1 in seventh place. He further improved his performance in Round 2, finishing sixth out of a competitive lineup of 33 drivers.
Both of his new teams are recognized for nurturing exceptional young talent in the racing industry. Ricky Flynn Motorsport, based in England, has been instrumental in developing top drivers including Lando Norris, currently making waves in Formula One. Meanwhile, Rolison Performance Group consistently fields championship-caliber competitors across major U.S. karting series.
As he embarks on this ambitious endeavor in 2026, Nachawati aims to build on his past successes while honing his skills in one of the most competitive environments. With a transatlantic racing schedule and elevated competition, he is focused on developing his talent further and achieving great things in his karting career. 2026 holds the promise of exciting prospects for Nachawati as he chases his dreams on the international stage.
