Global Cultural Exchange Event for Kids
On February 21, 2026, a vibrant cultural exchange event titled
"A Day Connected to the World: Experiences of Traveling in Multiculturalism!" will welcome elementary school students to embrace diversity and the joy of travel. Organized by
Choice Hotels Japan, under the umbrella of the
Greens Corporation, this initiative aims to foster children's dreams of traveling around the globe while promoting understanding and respect for different nationalities, ethnicities, and cultures.
Following the success of last year's inaugural event, this year's program has evolved, drawing on collaborations with
Katariba, a certified non-profit organization committed to fostering learning opportunities for children from various backgrounds. The goal is to inspire a generation that recognizes and values cultural differences through engaging activities that highlight the richness of global heritage.
Event Highlights
The event will take place at the
TKP Tamachi Conference Center, located in
Minato, Tokyo, from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM. Seventeen children, participants from the
Choice Guest Club(TM), will get an opportunity to explore different cultures from around the globe. This year’s celebration will feature four engaging booths representing the
Philippines (two booths),
China, and
Nepal. The kids will interact with high school students from diverse backgrounds, learning not only about various cultures but also connecting through fun and educational experiences.
Fun Activities on Offer
- - China: Learn traditional Chinese games such as Dadan Zhu (a type of marble game).
- - Nepal: Experience the beloved national game of Chungi, which involves rubber bands.
- - Philippines: Engage in four hand games native to Philippine culture, followed by the Pabintin, a lively body movement game that promises to be a crowd favorite.
These activities not only serve to entertain but also educate the participants about the significance of understanding and appreciating cultural diversity.
