On October 3, 2025, Beko, one of the world leaders in home appliances, officially named Ragıp Balcıoğlu as its new Chief Marketing and Strategy Officer. This strategic appointment comes after Balcıoğlu's successful tenure as the Chief Commercial Officer for Beko in Europe, where he made significant contributions over the past two years. Before taking up this new role, he also served as the CEO of Beko Europe, effectively navigating the company through various challenges in the competitive appliance market.
Ragıp Balcıoğlu boasts an extensive background in marketing and commerce, having started his corporate journey back in 1990 as a marketing director. He joined Beko in 1992 and has since held multiple leadership positions that have sculpted his career. Balcıoğlu's rise through the ranks has seen him perform critical roles, such as the Product Marketing Director, Director of Product Management, and National Director for the UK and Ireland, before becoming the General Manager of Beko Plc between 2011 and 2015.
His contributions didn't end there; in 2015, Balcıoğlu returned to Beko’s headquarters as the Chief Commercial Officer for Global Sales. Under his leadership, Beko expanded its international business scope and effectively restructured its global operations. His role evolved as he was appointed CCO for the Europe, Middle East, North Africa, and America regions between 2018 and 2023, ultimately leading to his position as CEO of Beko Europe following the merger with Whirlpool Corporation.
With his extensive expertise in international marketing and sales, Balcıoğlu assumed the responsibilities of Chief Marketing and Strategy Officer on October 1, 2025. In this role, he will oversee Beko's global strategy, marketing processes, management of 22 global brands, and product portfolio across 57 countries. His goal is to amplify Beko’s marketing impact worldwide and accelerate the company’s vision to become the leading home appliance manufacturer through innovative, data-driven, and consumer-centric strategies.
Beko has established itself as a formidable player in the global home appliance market. Operating in over 55 countries and employing more than 50,000 staff, it has developed a wide array of products under various brands such as Arçelik, Beko, and Grundig, among others. In 2024, Beko achieved a consolidated revenue of 10.6 billion euros, positioning itself as the largest home appliance company in Europe by market share in volume.
Furthermore, Beko has demonstrated a commitment to sustainability, receiving top scores in the Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA) by S&P Global for six consecutive years and earning a place in the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices for eight years running. In 2025, it was also recognized by TIME Magazine and Statista as the 17th most sustainable company globally.
As Beko pursues its purpose of 'Respecting the world, respected in the world,' Balcıoğlu's leadership will be pivotal in shaping the future trajectory of the company, ensuring it leads responsibly and continues to innovate in a rapidly evolving market landscape.
