Celebrating 30 Years of 'Memories'

The renowned film 'Memories', directed and produced by the legendary Katsuhiro Otomo, is set to receive a fresh release as it commemorates its 30th anniversary. Bandai Namco Filmworks, led by President Makoto Asanuma, is excited to announce the launch of the 'Memories 4K Remaster Set', which will include both a 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray and a standard Blu-ray. This highly-anticipated release is scheduled for December 24, 2025, and will retail for 15,400 yen (tax included).

The 'Memories 4K Remaster Set' features a meticulous 4K film scan that enhances the visuals of this iconic animated film originally released in December 1995. The set includes not only the original theatrical audio but also a newly recorded 5.1 channel audio mix, which was created in 1999 to breathe new life into the sound experience.

In addition to the stunning visual and audio upgrades, this special edition comes with exclusive bonuses, including the layout storyboard for the first episode, 'Her Remembered Thoughts', and a script collection that features all three short films. Film enthusiasts will also enjoy a video bonus of the original theatrical trailer from the film’s initial release.
