Aura and Blue Star Families Join Forces for a Memorable Day at Fenway Park

Celebrating Military Kids at Fenway Park

On April 25, 2025, a remarkable event unfolded at the historic Fenway Park, where military children and their families participated in a VIP experience hosted by Aura, an innovative AI-powered online safety solution, in partnership with Blue Star Families and the beloved Boston Red Sox. This extraordinary day was in honor of the Month of the Military Child, a time dedicated to recognizing the unique challenges and sacrifices faced by children in military families.

Thirty military kids, along with their families, left technology behind to enjoy a day filled with unforgettable activities. They stepped into the shoes of their idols, the Boston Red Sox players, by participating in a friendly softball game on the iconic field. Additionally, families were granted an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the stadium, and they enjoyed a delicious meal at the historic Ford Clubhouse, creating memories that will last a lifetime.

Aura, which has been actively engaged with Blue Star Families for the past three years, aims to support military families by addressing digital safety challenges that are particularly relevant in their lives. Last year, Aura became the official Family Online Safety Partner of the Boston Red Sox, showcasing their commitment to improving the digital environment for families in the Boston area. The event at Fenway Park was a direct manifestation of this partnership, as it honored the military kids who took the Balance Pledge — a promise encouraging children to reduce their screen time by 50% and enhance their offline connections.

“As military families often deal with the strain of relocations and deployments, they are also increasingly targeted by online crimes. Today’s event allows us to give back to these families, providing a joyful experience that supports their mental and emotional wellbeing,” stated Charlie Moore, Aura’s Chief Military Officer. The initiative aligns with a growing awareness around the importance of balancing technology use, especially with the prevalence of smartphones — a staggering 95% of teens own one.

Jeffrey Chin, Executive Director of Blue Star Families of New England, echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the importance of Aura’s commitment to protecting military families from online threats, while also advocating for healthier digital lives for children.
