In 2014, while under Honda's development program, Ohtsu began competing in JAF F4 and FIA-F4, earning third place overall. His career continued to rise as he moved up to the All Japan F3 championship in 2016, eventually stepping into the SUPER GT GT300 category with Modulo drago CORSE, where he marked his presence with podium finishes.

In 2020, he transitioned to the GT500 class, racing for Modulo Nakajima Racing alongside Takaya Izawa, where they achieved pole positions and podium appearances. In 2021, Ohtsu had a breakthrough season in SUPER FORMULA, achieving a pole-to-win in race six, and in 2022, he finished on the podium in the final race at Suzuka. Ohtsu’s performance in 2023 has seen significant improvements, including his first victory in the SUPER GT series with team ARTA.
