About the Academia-based Bio & Healthcare Venture Association

Founded on May 22, 2023, this association evolved from its predecessor, the University-originated Bio Venture Association. Its primary mission is to advance bio ventures and startups, promoting collaboration between industry and academia. The organization is dedicated to supporting companies that have spun off from research institutions, encouraging the commercialization of research and the development of new industries. By enhancing new medical technologies and biotechnologies, the association aims to significantly contribute to health and welfare in Japan.
