Chef Masanori Hata’s Journey

Masanori Hata, born in Gifu Prefecture on January 28, 1982, pursued his passion for pastries from a young age. After graduating from a confectionery school in Osaka, he dedicated five years as an instructor before honing his skills in various patisseries and hotel pastry departments. He joined Aqua Ignis in 2012 and has been leading the team as the head pastry chef.

His journey to the championship was remarkable; he learned about chocolate artistry through self-study during his teaching years and successfully claimed the title of Japanese representative at the Coupe du Monde de la Pâtisserie in 2025. Under his leadership, the Japanese team achieved victory, showcasing his exceptional talent.
