Wrap-Up Report on the Final Performance of Educational Movie Festival in Nagoya

Final Performance of the Educational Movie Festival in Nagoya

The enchanting and surreal experience of the Educational Movie Festival recently reached its climax in Nagoya, marking the end of a nationwide tour organized by the cooperative efforts of SkyPerfect JSAT Corporation. The festival featured original content derived from the imagination of creator Momonikusu, known for its whimsical narrative centered around a fictitious educational program. Following two successful performances in Tokyo and Osaka, the festival expanded and included additional events in six major cities, receiving overwhelming enthusiasm from fans across the nation.

The date was June 27, and the atmosphere was electrifying despite looming concerns about a typhoon affecting the event. As attendees filled the venue, they donned merchandise from the festival, such as the adorable Tama puppet, showcasing their enthusiasm.

The event opened with the screening of a newly released mid-length animation that delighted the audience for approximately twenty minutes, allowing them to immerse themselves in the unique world of the educational program, encompassing both the film’s opening and ending credits. This captivating view served to enhance the overall experience of attendees, transporting them into the whimsical narrative crafted by the creators.

After the film, Yami no Onee-san's announcement facilitated the introduction of the beloved character Tama, who made a special appearance to interact with the audience. This segment turned into a delightful Tama walk, where photos and videos were permitted, generating waves of applause and laughter as fans called out, "Tama! So cute!" Tama wandered around the venue, somewhat shyly, to the cheerful tunes of the event’s theme song, capturing the hearts of the audience. After their stroll, Tama took a brief break before returning to the stage, their gentle demeanor resonating with the crowd.

As the event transitioned into its second half, the acclaimed comedy duo Nagareboshi (featuring Chuei and Takiue) took to the stage, adding an extra layer of excitement. The pair also entertained at the Sendai event, enhancing the connection between performers and fans. During the Educational Radio segment, questions previously collected via social media were read aloud, with Tama responding using their signature flip cards. Amusing answers elicited laughter from the audience, especially when Chuei introduced a quirky cooking gag using his knife, which Tama seamlessly incorporated into their routine, further amplifying the hilarity of the event.

The finale featured a stand-up performance by Nagareboshi, where they welcomed Tama back to join in on the comedic sketches. In an original routine titled Tama Game, even though Tama couldn’t speak, they successfully drew laughter using a prop knife. Additionally, Tama astonished the audience by mastering the unique dance associated with Chuei's famous routine, paired perfectly with Chuei's song, earning thunderous applause as the event drew to a triumphant close.

Beyond the performances, attendees can relish the memories through the newly launched online store, showcasing a variety of goods from the festival, including three new items not available at the event. The mid-length animated feature will be streamed online starting July 1, allowing fans to enjoy the educational program's endearing charm at home.
