Significant Increase in US Exhibitors at CISCE 2025 Enhances Supply Chain Cooperation

Overview of CISCE 2025

From July 16 to 20, 2025, Beijing hosted the third edition of the China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE). This trade show served as a premier platform for enhancing global communication and collaboration within the supply chain industry. Notably, the number of US exhibitors rose by 15% compared to the previous year, solidifying their position as the largest group of international participants.

Highlights from the Event

Michael Hart, president of the American Chamber of Commerce in China (AmCham China), praised CISCE for facilitating cross-border cooperation and innovation. He remarked, "The Supply Chain Expo provided a fantastic platform for dialogue and collaboration." Hart expressed excitement about the significant growth in US exhibitors, noting that 60% of them belonged to the Fortune Global 500 list. Among the notable first-time attendees was NVIDIA, a leader in American technology, showcasing its innovations.

Jü Tien-lung, vice-chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), emphasized the importance of this event for developing bilateral economic relations. He stated, "The foundation of China-US relationships lies in people-to-people connections." At this critical juncture, companies from both nations are taking proactive steps to enhance supply chain collaboration, ensuring stable and uninterrupted global supply chains.

AmCham China’s Participation

This year marked the first time that AmCham China participated in CISCE with its exhibition booth. The organization collaborated with its member companies to showcase innovative solutions and promote partnerships. Hart highlighted the Navigator 2025 program initiated during the previous year’s exhibition, focusing on cultivating leadership within the supply chain and cooperating with key Chinese supply chain nodes.

The Role of Shandong Province

Hart also underscored the province of Shandong as a key player in global supply chain resilience. Since the first American investment in Shandong in 1986, almost 1,000 American companies have established operations there, making it a significant partner in bilateral trade. He described Shandong as one of China's most dynamic provinces, excelling in manufacturing, agriculture, port logistics, and new energy. Its robust industrial ecosystem, effective infrastructure, and skilled workforce have attracted many AmCham China member companies to build manufacturing bases and regional centers in the area.

The Path Forward

CISCE continues to serve as an important platform for fostering collaboration in the global supply chain, providing businesses with opportunities to explore new avenues for cooperation and stimulate economic growth. The expo showcases groundbreaking advancements in supply chain innovation and promotes stronger cross-border partnerships.
